Social media has been abuzz after a lady was caught on cam throwing more than a handful of money at a jewelry store — that is ‘bills at the face of a sales lady’. It reportedly happened at a shopping centre in Hebei Province just around the last week of September.
Let’s check it out..
Well, we don’t really know how it started as the footage was just said to be captured by a bystander from a distance.. Yup, though not so far a distance.
But judging from the video, the rich girl must have been ‘unreasonably’ upset at something to throw money in an ill manner. Still, is the customer always right?
Perhaps this is just not one of those cases. And sometimes you don’t even know if might just be a marketing stunt, you see. Who knows..
Yet in this case, we could really feel the stress of the sales girl though, so.. It must have been a real rough day.
Sometimes, or many times people just wants to get their 15-seconds of fame and so they make all sorts of acts just to call our attention. But then, do you really think it would do you more good than harm? Here’s a video submission that we picked for this week’s YouTube review – How to Attract Customers in Asia..
Wow, this is like a floor show in some bar. And the dancing, there’s even no choreography to it. Yet to think it comes from some car brand doing a car show. Well, they sure got our attention but in the wrong way. This only pumps most male libidos but as for the car, “serious” buyers would think twice unless they could get the girls to escort them up close and at least get their numbers; you know, just like some business deals you may not be aware of..
Hmm… reminds us of restaurants having girls in really short shorts taking your orders. Oh, at least they don’t appear to be some joke.
One thing though, “Asia” should not be emphasized in this case.. for anywhere in the world, if you show such acts – men would always be men – at least, most men. It’s human nature. And the car show was just probably in Asia, so they got Asian girls doing the act. See?
Perhaps the “marketing” mind behind all this should just be fired..
Americans were originally thrifty; big business persuaded them to become consumers instead, insatiable, richer but more vulnerable. – Theodore Zeldin
Doesn’t it make sense that if you spend more, businesses flourish? The economy grinds, the country prospers? That spending is also proof of purchasing power? However, you do not just spend for the sake of spending but spend because it is necessary – though a “once-in-a-while” indulgence should not hurt. Hmm…
Bottom line is… “thriftiness” should be equated with “helpfulness.”
For what is it to save much if you can’t share your blessings?
To give money to a woman – and here I must speak as a man – is to deny her special quality, her irreplaceability, and reduce her unique amiability to a commodity. Money takes away her name, while transforming her lover into a nameless customer of a market of appetites. – James Buchan
Many could be upset with this quote of James Buchan; but then, as a more “matured” individual, come to think of it.. It makes sense, right?
Money should not dictate a relationship but love.
Of course, unless the couple is attached by marriage or commitment, only then should money come into fore.. after all, you need to feed your family and meet their other needs.
You want to make sure this particular car is going to please the customer and then you’re going to be rewarded with something that is going to please the shareholder. – Carlos Ghosn
Well, that is why the “Customer is King.”
Please the customer and you would have successfully promoted your brand, enriched your coffers, and launched your career to orbit.
There is only one boss: the customer. And he can fire everybody in the company, from the chairman on down, simply by spending his money somewhere else. – Sam Walton
See?? That’s how powerful you are as a Customer!
Notice how companies are scrambling to manufacture new goods, to innovate on existing products, to fine tune their services – to satisfy you?! Yes, you!
You have the last say in a product or service’s life. You can demand just about anything “reasonable” with an almost certain payback — that’s why we have this site now — for you to let your heart’s out.
So?? Come on, let’s hear it!
The Customer is King !
Yes, that’s right – the Customer is indeed King.
If there’s one mantra any business organization should always uphold, it is this one. If you’re still doubtful… go try living without customers for a while and see what happens.
Thus, deal with customers with the proper respect. You don’t necessarily have to wipe their sweat or remove whatever dirt in their mouths… but be attentive to their needs. Make sure they are talking to the right people. Don’t discriminate. Don’t just try to sell your product or service but try to build rapport. It’s quite obvious that there is something in your product that tells them to check it out.. so, focus on that something. Then go the extra mile.
