Siquijor is a central Visayan island in the Philippines and is composed of 6 municipalities, namely: Siquijor, San Juan, Lazi, Maria, Enrique Villanueva and Larena.
With a land area of 338 square kilometres and a coastline 102 kms. long, Siquijor is the third smallest province of the Philippines. And so I decided on a half-island tour of the first four municipalities.
And for this issue, let’s take on the beautiful churches.. In pictures!
Located just outside Siquijor wharf is the St. Francis de Assisi Church and Bell Tower. Yep, it’s the first landmark you’d see upon arriving.
The town of Maria is located at the near southeastern portion of Siquijor province; and from Siquijor port, it’s about 32 kilometers. Here you can see the town’s church — Our Lady of Divine Providence.
Meanwhile, the town of Lazi is located at the southern part of the province which is approximately 29 kilometers from the port of Siquijor. And above are photos of the San Isidro Labradore Church which happens to be fronting..
The Lazi Convent. Yup, that’s the church! And the above photo was taken just outside the convent. How nice! Better yet, Follow Us and..
